One of the best practices, in business and in life, is to admit when you have messed up and move on. Seth Godin just wrote a clever post using a Palinode, which is a type of poem written to retract something said in a previous poem, to illustrate why in business a retraction is important.
In your spiritual life, it is also important that we admit when we are wrong, ask forgiveness and then move on. It is equally important that when others do something against us, that we should also be willing to forgive and forget. Jesus paid the ultimate price for all of our sin and he doesn’t remember them. Once foregiven, they become like they never existed. If Jesus’ grace is so amazing, why would you cheapen it by hanging on to the ugliness of life? Is your God that small that His grace doesn’t cover all of your sin?
Through Jesus’ death on the cross and His resurrection, we can live a wonderful, positive, enjoyable life knowing that ALL of our sins are fogiven and forgotten.
